The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has asked the government to immediately release Durga Prasai.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the party said it is seriously concerned about what it called Prasai’s repeated arrests, claiming they are meant to harass him, silence different opinions, and suppress public dissent.
The statement, signed by RPP Chair Rajendra Lingden, said targeting a person out of revenge is wrong and goes against the constitutional rights of citizens. It said such actions weaken people’s freedom to move freely, speak, write, and take part in peaceful protests.
The party has demanded Prasai’s unconditional and immediate release.
