Ravi's statement concludes for today

Ravi Lamichhane, former Home Minister and Rastriya Swatantra Party president, completed his statement today. The statement of Lamichhane, which lasted about six and a half hours, was taken at the District Government Attorney's Office.

The statement-taking started at 9:00 AM and concluded at 3:30 PM. Lamichhane was brought to Kathmandu on Thursday evening for investigation regarding the fraud of funds from Swarnalakshmi Cooperative. He was also questioned in Bhairahawa after being held in police custody at the Kaski District Police Office. Lamichhane, who was arrested on 2nd Kartik, has had his remand extended five times for further investigation.

Following his arrival in Kathmandu for questioning, leaders and activists of the Rastriya Swatantra Party gathered at the District Government Attorney's Office in Maitighar last evening and this morning.
