Rain and Snowfall Likely in High Hills and Mountain Regions

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said that some parts of the country may receive rain and snowfall due to a western low-pressure system.

This afternoon, the high hill and mountain areas will be fully cloudy. Other hilly regions and the Terai will remain mostly cloudy. Some places in the high hills and mountains may see moderate rain and snowfall.

Moderate rain is likely in parts of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Light rain may fall in some hilly areas of Bagmati, Madhes, and Koshi provinces. One or two places in the Terai of Koshi province may also receive light rain.

Tonight, the hill and mountain areas will be partly cloudy, while the rest of the country will have clear weather. Light rain or snowfall may occur in one or two places in the high hills and mountains of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

The Department has advised people to be careful, as rain and snowfall could affect daily activities, tourism, health, and air and road transportation.
