Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane was released on Friday evening after posting a bank guarantee as bail, following an order from the Butwal Bench of the Tulsipur High Court. The court had directed his release upon the submission of a Rs 26 million bail at the District Court, Rupandehi.
Court officials confirmed that Lamichhane secured his release after completing the required legal process. The RSP said he will resume party responsibilities after finishing necessary administrative formalities.
In a statement, the party welcomed the court’s decision and reiterated its respect for the judicial process, adding that it remains confident the ongoing cases will be resolved in accordance with the rule of law.
