Pushpa Kamal Dahal to Contest HoR Election from Rukum East

Pushpa Kamal Dahal, coordinator of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), former Maoist Centre, has announced that he will contest the upcoming House of Representatives election from Rukum East.

Addressing a party unity rally in Rukum West, Dahal formally confirmed his candidacy, saying he has chosen Rukum East while also committing to stay actively engaged with the people of Rukum West. He pledged to honor the trust of the people by accelerating development efforts and remaining closely connected to the lives, concerns and aspirations of residents across the district.

Dahal’s electoral constituency had remained undecided until now, with party sources earlier indicating that his name had been proposed from several districts.
