PSG Beat Arsenal in First Leg of Champions League Semifinal

In the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinal, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defeated Arsenal with a narrow 1-0 victory. The match was held last night at Emirates Stadium, Arsenal’s home ground.

The only and winning goal came early in the fourth minute, scored by PSG’s Ousmane Dembélé. This goal turned out to be the decider. The second leg of the semifinal between the two teams will take place on May 8. The team with the better aggregate score over the two legs will advance to the final.

Arsenal last reached the Champions League semifinal in 2009, where they lost to Manchester United. Before that, they had reached the final in 2006 but were defeated by Barcelona. This is the first time Arsenal has made it to the semifinal since then.

The other semifinal first leg between Barcelona and Inter Milan is scheduled for tonight. The second leg of that match will also take place on May 8, and the winner will move on to the final.
