Prakriti Lamsal Cremated at Swargadwari

Prakriti Lamsal, a Nepali student who passed away at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Odisha, India, was cremated at Swargadwari Ghat.

Her grandfather, Devnath Lamsal, carried out the final rituals.

On Wednesday, Prakriti’s body was brought back to Rupandehi, taken to Bhairahawa for a prayer ritual, and then transported to Swargadwari Ghat for the cremation.

Nepali students from Siddharthanagar, who were studying at KIIT, joined the funeral procession to pay their respects.

Prakriti was born on September 20, 2004, in Bhairahawa. She was found dead in her hostel room at KIIT last Sunday, and the cause of death is still under investigation.
