Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Center), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', has urged the government to arrange safe housing for the residents of Tilgau in Namkha rural municipality-6, Humla, which is at high risk due to a mudslide.

He said the landslide, likely caused by a glacial lake burst, has damaged drinking water systems, roads and a bridge, putting the entire settlement in danger. He added that local people are still waiting for rescue and relief, and the government's absence so far is concerning.

Prachanda called on the government to act immediately to carry out rescue operations and ensure safe relocation for those at risk.

He also instructed party members to actively help prevent further loss of life and property in Humla. Highlighting the growing risks of glacial lake bursts due to climate change, Prachanda  urged the government to focus not only on discussions in the capital but also on scientific studies and proper preparation in the affected areas.
