PM Oli Calls for Modern Farming and Use of Technology on National Paddy Day

On the occasion of National Paddy Day (Asar 15), Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called for the modernization of agriculture through the use of technology to boost production.

In his message, PM Oli described Paddy Day as a celebration of hard work, soil, water, and tradition, calling it “a festival of harvest and dreams.” Though currently abroad, he shared childhood memories of planting rice, reflecting on the deep cultural roots of the tradition.

He emphasized that the government has already started an agricultural modernization program to improve productivity and urged everyone to support the move by adopting technology-driven farming methods.

“Let us come together to modernize agriculture and increase production using technology,” he said.
