One Injured in Tata Sumo Accident in Khotang

A Tata Sumo accident in Khotehang has left one passenger seriously injured. The injured passenger, identified as 73-year-old Durga Prasad Rai from Kepilasghadi-1 Fedi, was rescued and immediately sent to the district headquarters, Diktel, for medical treatment.

According to DSP Pratik Bista, the incident occurred near Tapkhola in Kepilasghadi Rural Municipality-3. The vehicle, with registration number NA 1 J 7181, was traveling from Kathmandu to Khotehang when the accident took place.

The DSP further explained that the driver, Shraddhan Rai, had stopped the vehicle to remove some timber that had fallen onto the road. During this time, the parked Sumo rolled down approximately 2 meters, causing the accident. Fortunately, as there was only one passenger in the vehicle, a major loss of life was avoided.
