Nepal Rastra Bank has published today’s (Tuesday’s) foreign exchange rates, showing mixed changes in major currencies. The value of the US dollar and Bahraini dinar has dropped slightly, while most other currencies have gone up, including the euro, British pound, Australian dollar, and Kuwaiti dinar.
The US dollar is slightly cheaper today. The buying rate is Rs 137.41 and the selling rate is Rs 138.01, a small decrease from yesterday’s Rs 137.44 and Rs 138.04. On the other hand, the euro has gained value, with the buying rate at Rs 159.09 and the selling rate at Rs 159.79, up from Rs 158.78 and Rs 159.47 yesterday.
The British pound has also increased slightly. Today, it is being bought at Rs 186.66 and sold at Rs 187.48, compared to Rs 186.44 and Rs 187.26 the day before. The Australian dollar has strengthened as well, with a buying rate of Rs 89.58 and selling rate of Rs 89.98, up from Rs 89.17 and Rs 89.56.
Similarly, the Kuwaiti dinar has gone up a little, with today’s buying rate at Rs 449.27 and selling rate at Rs 451.23. Yesterday, the rates were Rs 449.15 and Rs 451.11. In contrast, the Bahraini dinar has dropped slightly. Today’s buying rate is Rs 364.35 and the selling rate is Rs 365.94, slightly lower than yesterday’s Rs 364.47 and Rs 366.06.
