One Injured in Shooting Incident in Sunsari

Shiva Kumar Mahato (21) of Devangunj rural municipality in Sunsari district, sustained injuries when a motorcycle-borne gang opened three rounds of fire at Devangunj at 6.45 pm on Monday, police said. 

Mahato, who sustained injuries below the waist in the incident in the municipality, which is close to the India border, is receiving treatment at a hospital in Biratnagar. Police said they are investigating the motive behind the shooting and the gang involved.
