NRCS Prez, Four Others Suspended on Ethical Grounds

The International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies has suspended the chief and four other officials of its affiliate, the Nepal Red Cross Society on ethical grounds. 

The suspended officials are president Sudarshan Prasad Nepal, Vinod Kumar Basnet, Manoj Kumar Thapa, Bhupati Lal Shrestha and Narayan Timilsina.

The IFRC has accused the five officials of undermining the norms and values of the organization, undermining its general principles, inviting administrative anarchy and using politics for financial gains.
