NRB to Invest Rs 1.20 Billion in Banks and Financial Institutions

Applications have been opened for the investment of Rs 1.20 billion from the Employees’ Security Fund into banks and financial institutions.

Nepal Rastra Bank, through a public notice, has called on eligible banks and financial institutions to submit proposals by December 22, including the amount sought and the fixed deposit interest rate offered.

Under the plan, Rs 960 million will go to Class A commercial banks, Rs 180 million to Class B development banks, and Rs 60 million to Class C finance companies. Only institutions meeting required financial and regulatory standards will qualify for the investment.
