Today, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) fell, causing significant losses in low-cap companies. The stock dropped by 13.53 points, closing at 2,583.29 points. As a result, development banks, finance companies, and trading groups experienced losses.
Today, as the NEPSE dropped by 0.52%, a total of 91,80,718 shares worth 4 billion, 51 crore, 83 lakh, and 85 thousand rupees were traded. Shares of a total of 84 companies have increased, while shares of 154 companies have decreased. On the other hand, shares of 6 companies remained unchanged.
The decline in today's market resulted in shares of 319 companies being traded, with a total of 57,863 transactions. Out of the 13 groups, 2 groups saw an increase, while the remaining 11 groups experienced a decrease.
The Hydropower group increased by 0.65%, closing at 3,424.39 points. Similarly, the Production and Processing group increased by 1.57%, closing at 6,817.02 points.
Today, the Development Bank group experienced the largest decline, falling by 2.05% to 5,346.33 points. Hotel and Tourism group saw the smallest decline by 0.01% reaching to 6,398.79 points.
Furthermore, the Commercial Bank group decreased by 0.87%, the Finance group declined by 1.49%, the Investment group dropped by 1.18%, the Life Insurance group by 0.81%, and so on.
