Fuel prices in Nepal have increased starting today. Nepal Oil Corporation raised the prices of petrol, diesel, and kerosene after receiving new rates from the Indian Oil Corporation.

 

The price of petrol has gone up by five rupees per liter, while diesel and kerosene have increased by four rupees per liter. The price of cooking gas (LPG) remains the same.

 

In cities like Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal, petrol now costs 165 rupees per liter, and diesel and kerosene are priced at 149 rupees per liter. In Surkhet and Dang, petrol now costs 164 rupees, while diesel and kerosene are 148 rupees per liter. 

 

In other areas such as Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj, the price of petrol is now 162 rupees and 50 paisa, and diesel and kerosene cost 146 rupees and 50 paisa per liter.

 

The price of aviation fuel has also increased. It has gone up by seven rupees per liter for domestic flights and by 51 US dollars per kiloliter for international flights.

 

This price hike means daily transportation and living costs may go up for many people across the country.
