NEPSE Ends Week on a Positive Note as Four Stocks Hit Upper Circuit

On Thursday, NEPSE index climbed 1.13 points to 2,545.73, with four companies hitting their positive circuit. Despite the slight gain, overall turnover fell to NPR 349.98 million, as 123 stocks rose and 124 declined.

On the last trading day of the week, Thursday, the NEPSE index closed slightly higher, recovering from the previous day’s loss. While the index had dropped by 20.56 points to 2,544.59 on Wednesday, it rose by 1.13 points on Thursday, ending at 2,545.73.

 

Despite the modest gain in the index, overall turnover declined compared to Wednesday. Total trading amounted to NPR 349.98 million, down from NPR 384 million, with 7.65 million shares of 329 companies exchanged. Four companies, Mabilung Energy, Swet Ganga Hydropower, Sagar Distillery, and Bungal Hydropower traded at their positive circuit limit.

 

Himalayan Power Partner led in turnover, with shares worth NPR 168 million traded. Himalayan Distillery followed with NPR 139.1 million, Union Hydropower NPR 133 million, NRN NPR 130.5 million, and Sahas Urja NPR 120 million.

 

Among traded stocks, 123 advanced, 124 declined, and 8 remained unchanged. Sector-wise, seven sub-indices recorded gains while six ended lower.
