Nepal won a very close cricket match against Scotland by just one wicket in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2. The match was played on Monday at Forthill, Dundee in Scotland. Nepal had to chase 297 runs and they reached the target with only one ball left.

Nepal’s batting was in trouble at 192 runs for 7 wickets. But Karan KC played a brilliant innings, scoring 65 runs from just 41 balls without getting out. He hit 3 fours and 4 sixes and was named Player of the Match. He also took 2 wickets for 43 runs while bowling.

At the start, Kushal Bhurtel scored quickly, making 53 runs from 44 balls. Then Bhim Sharki (40), Rohit Paudel (37), and Gulsan Jha (42 from 30 balls) added important runs in the middle. In the end, Karan KC and Rijan Dhakal (1 run) stayed calm and helped Nepal reach 297 runs for 9 wickets in 49.5 overs.

Scotland’s bowlers made it hard for Nepal. Brandon McMullen took 3 wickets for 47 runs. Michael Leask took 2 wickets for 40, Jack Jarvis took 2 for 42, Mark Watt got 1 for 53, and Jasper Davidson took 1 as well.

Earlier in the match, Scotland batted first and scored 296 runs for 7 wickets. Charlie Tear made the most runs with 80 from 72 balls. Finlay McCreath scored 55 and Richie Berrington made 40. For Nepal, Karan KC, Sompal Kami, and Rijan Dhakal each took 2 wickets. Sandeep Lamichhane took 1 wicket.
