Nepal has established its first embassy in Portugal, and a team from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already started providing services from a temporary office in Alcântara, Lisbon.

The embassy, in collaboration with the Nepali Embassy in France, has launched a mobile service to assist Nepalese with consular services, including document verification. Since Friday, the mobile camp has processed around 200 documents, including police character certificates.

The embassy will provide services like verifying police reports, relationship verification certificates, birth and marriage registrations, and other important documents, except for power of attorney.

Additionally, those who had applied for electronic passports in previous mobile camps can now collect their ready-made passports. The embassy will also take digital photos and fingerprints for individuals who were unable to complete the passport process earlier.

Ram Babu Nepal, Charge d’Affaires of Nepal in Portugal, stated that the embassy is working to provide all necessary services soon. He asked Nepalese in Portugal to be patient as services expand.
