Nepali Congress Meeting Delayed Again After Talks Fail

The Nepali Congress’s Central Working Committee meeting, called by the party’s establishment faction for 8 am on Wednesday, has not started yet.

The meeting is more than three and a half hours late.

The delay comes after talks between party President Sher Bahadur Deuba and General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwo Prakash Sharma at Maharajgunj ended without any agreement, leaving the meeting uncertain.

A similar delay happened on Tuesday, when a meeting scheduled for 1 pm started only at 7:30 pm and was quickly adjourned.
