Nepal Reach Semifinal of SAFF U-19 Championship

Nepal have entered the semifinal of the SAFF U-19 Championship underway in India. In yesterday's match at the Golden Jubilee Stadium in Arunachal, Nepal defeated Sri Lanka 5–0 and reached the semifinals with one game still to play.

From this group, Nepal and India have reached the semifinals, while Sri Lanka are out. Earlier, India had beaten Sri Lanka 8–0 in the first match of Group ‘B’.

Nepal will play against India tomorrow. The winner of that match will be the group winner.

Nepal had won the first edition of the SAFF U-19 Championship in 2015 and also won the U-18 version in 2017. In the last edition, Nepal lost to Bangladesh in the final.
