Nepal Loses to India in SAFF U-19 Championship

Nepal have lost to India in the SAFF U-19 Championship. The two teams had already reached the semifinals, but they played their last group stage match yesterday. In that match, India defeated Nepal 4–0.

With this win, India became the group winner, while Nepal finished as the runner-up.

Earlier, India had beaten Sri Lanka 8–0, and Nepal had also defeated Sri Lanka 5–0.

Now, in the semifinals on Friday, India will play against the Maldives, the runner-up of Group A. Nepal will face Bangladesh, the winner of Group A.

Nepal had won the first edition of this tournament in 2015 and also the U-18 edition in 2017. However, in the last edition, Nepal lost to Bangladesh in the final.
