The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has reminded its employees to maintain the reputation of the organization when using social media.
All employees are expected to follow the rules of conduct outlined in the NEA Employee Service Terms and Conditions and Regulations.
The NEA is concerned about the recent spread of false or misleading posts on social media and in some media outlets, including the sharing of official letters, which can harm the institution’s image and public trust.
Joint Director Narayan Prasad Acharya emphasized that everyone should help ensure social media is used responsibly, positively, and respectfully.
Employees are specifically instructed not to post official letters or unnecessary content that goes against NEA’s code of conduct.
The notice also warns that if any employee shares or responds to inappropriate content, their information will be recorded, and disciplinary action will be taken according to the regulations.
