NC Central Working Committee Meets, Internal Talks to Continue

The Nepali Congress (NC) is holding a meeting of its Central Working Committee this morning (Wednesday).

Party spokesperson Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat said that the talks between the Gagan Thapa–Bishwaprakash Sharma group and the party establishment, which were planned for Tuesday, did not take place and will continue later. He said only informal discussions were held on Tuesday.

Mahat said the party should move ahead by strictly following its official decisions. He added that discussions to reach an understanding are still ongoing and that the negotiation teams are working to find a common solution.

Meanwhile, the Nepali Congress special general convention on Tuesday evening approved the reports presented by the General Secretaries. Gagan Thapa presented the current political report, while Bishwaprakash Sharma presented the organizational report.
