In a series of administrative decisions, the government has reshuffled key positions and approved new initiatives across multiple sectors.
Ram Bahadur Rawal from Bajura has been appointed as the Prime Minister’s Press Advisor, announced Minister for Communications and IT and government spokesperson Jagadish Kharel at a press briefing today. The Cabinet also approved drafting a bill aimed at promoting the rights and development of Dalits.
The resignation of Uddhav Prasad Timalsena, a member of the committee managing assets and liabilities of troubled organizations, was accepted, with Madhukar Rana from Lalitpur nominated as his replacement.
Transfers and promotions were carried out within the Nepal Judicial Service, including the movement of eight gazetted first-class officers and the elevation of eight second-class officers to first-class positions.
The Cabinet also approved the organizational structures for new Land Revenue and Survey Offices in Fikkal (Ilam), Sotab (Solukhumbu), Kolti (Bajura), and Ramtadi (Mugu), and sanctioned official foreign visits for various ministers, secretaries, and commission officials.
These steps are part of the government’s efforts to strengthen administrative efficiency and institutional governance.
