Home Minister Aryal Arrives in Janakpurdham for Province Level Security Conference

Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal arrived in Janakpurdham on Tuesday to attend the Madhesh Province-level security conference, which will start on Wednesday.

At Janakpur Airport, he was welcomed by Dhanusha Chief District Officer Prem Prasad Luintel, Assistant CDO Umesh Prasad Dahal, provincial heads of the Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, the National Investigation Department chief in the province, district police officials, and senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Madhesh security conference is held annually and is the final province-level meeting for this year. It will conclude on January 14.

This year’s series of security conferences began in Rupandehi, Lumbini Province, on November 25 and will officially end with the Madhesh conference. The meetings are jointly organized by the federal Ministry of Home Affairs and the provincial governments.

The main focus of this year’s conference is to review the overall security situation in the province and districts, assess preparedness, and plan strategies ahead of the upcoming House of Representatives elections on March 5.
