Paudel Listed as NC Voter, Resignation Claim Questioned

The Nepali Congress’ special general convention voters’ list has sparked fresh controversy after President Ram Chandra Paudel was included as a voting delegate, despite his earlier claim of resigning from the party.

According to the Election Committee’s official roll, party president Sher Bahadur Deuba is listed first, while President Paudel appears second, raising questions about whether his resignation after assuming the presidency was formally recorded. 

Paudel had announced on March 12, 2023, that he stepped away from all party responsibilities, but the updated voters’ list suggests the process was never completed in party records.
