Minister Ghising Urges Governance Reforms and Youth Entrepreneurship at Nepal Summit

At the Nepal Youth Entrepreneurship Summit 2082, jointly organized by the National Youth Council and Nepal Business Institute, leaders stressed the importance of good governance, development, and youth-driven innovation. 

Energy Minister Kulman Ghising said the recent Gen-Z protests reflect long-standing public frustration over poor service delivery and governance gaps. He urged the next government to reform outdated laws that hinder economic growth and assured that elections will proceed as scheduled.

Swarnim Wagle, Vice Chair of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, called for stronger anti-corruption measures and better investment security, noting recent protests have affected investor confidence. Jyotsna Shrestha of FNCCI emphasized the need for youth to generate employment through innovation and startups rather than solely seeking jobs, while Surendra Paudel highlighted the potential of returning migrant workers to boost local entrepreneurship. 

The summit also focused on policy measures and strategies to promote youth-led business initiatives.
