Lightning Strike Injures Four in Khandbari

A lightning strike during a storm injured four members of a family in Satimeure, Khandbari municipality-9, on Monday evening. The storm brought strong winds and heavy rain.

Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Sankhuwasabha district police office, Daksha Kumar Basnet, identified the injured as Kopila Shrestha, her 18-year-old son Gagan Shrestha, his 18-year-old wife Babita Magar, and Kopila’s 13-year-old daughter Niruta Shrestha.

They were all taken to the district hospital or treatment. According to doctors at the hospital, all four are now in stable condition and are not in any serious danger.
