Former Prime Minister and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has indicated that the upcoming general elections in Nepal are likely to be held on Falgun 21. Addressing a public gathering in Jhapa, Oli asserted that regardless of the exact date, the UML is the party that must win.

Oli emphasized that the UML represents patriotism and national interest, leading the country with a vision grounded in experience, principles, and policy. He criticized inexperienced leaders claiming to become prime minister without having contested any general elections, calling such claims “laughable” and stressing that governing a nation requires knowledge, foresight, and leadership skills.

The former Prime Minister also addressed the controversies surrounding the violent events of Bhadra 23 and 24, highlighting that allegations blaming him for police action and unrest are false. He clarified that the government and the police acted independently and that he never ordered the use of force.

Oli concluded by urging citizens to understand the truth behind misleading claims and reaffirmed that the UML remains the party capable of steering the nation forward.
