Former Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN-UML, KP Sharma Oli, has acknowledged that the recent election results did not meet expectations and said he respects the decision of the people.
In a reaction posted on Facebook, Oli stated that the results were not as he had hoped and that the party also failed to achieve the expected success.
He emphasized that in a democracy, the final decision belongs to the people, and it is the duty of both him and the party to accept and respect that decision.
Oli also expressed gratitude to voters, party leaders, cadres, volunteers, well-wishers, and supporters who voted for the sun symbol and stood by the party. He said their trust and support remain the party’s greatest strength.
Despite the unfavorable results, Oli clarified that the party’s commitment and dedication to serving the people will not weaken. He pledged that the party will continue working among the people and for their welfare while further strengthening its relationship of trust with the public in the days ahead.
