Kathmandu’s minimum temperature has dropped for the second day in a row, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

The temperature recorded at 5:45 am today was 8.1°C. At the same time yesterday (Sunday), it was 8.4°C. However, during the final reading taken at 8:45 am, the temperature dropped slightly to 8.0°C.

The Division said the 8:45 am reading is taken as the official minimum temperature. Meteorologists believe today’s official temperature could fall slightly compared to the 5:45 am record.

On Saturday as well, the minimum temperature was 9.2°C at 5:45 am, which later decreased to 8.9°C at 8:45 am.

The Division measures Kathmandu’s minimum temperature twice every morning, at 5:45 am and 8:45 am. The maximum temperature is recorded daily at 5:45 pm.

The Weather Forecasting Division also records minimum and maximum temperatures in different parts of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley.
