The price of gold has increased again in the Nepali market.
On Wednesday, the price rose by Rs 1,700, bringing the new rate to Rs 191,600 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association.
This comes after a sharp rise of Rs 5,300 per tola on Tuesday. Gold prices had already shown an upward trend earlier this week, with increases seen on Sunday and Monday as well.
The highest gold price so far this year was recorded on April 22, when it reached Rs 197,900 per tola. After that, the price had dropped by Rs 14,400 over nine days before this recent rebound.
Meanwhile, the price of silver remains unchanged at Rs 1,965 per tola, the federation confirmed.
In the international market, gold is currently trading at $3,393 per ounce.
