After two days of a sharp rise, gold prices in Nepal finally dropped on Friday. The price of gold fell by Rs 1,100 per tola, bringing the new rate for fine gold down to Rs 190,400 per tola. Just a day earlier, on Thursday, gold had jumped by Rs 5,000, contributing to a total rise of Rs 6,700 in just two days.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, this latest decrease has brought a bit of relief to those looking to buy gold.
Silver prices also went down slightly. It is now being sold at Rs 2,005 per tola, a drop of Rs 20 from Thursday's rate of Rs 2,025. These quick changes in the market show how unpredictable gold and silver prices can be.
