The Jay Nepal International Foundation has urged the newly formed government led by Balen Shah of the Rastriya Swatantra Party to utilize the knowledge, skills, and international networks of Nepalis living abroad for the country’s development.
In a statement issued on Friday, Foundation President Dr. Yadav Pandit said that Nepalis across the world are not just spectators but active partners in nation-building, contributing through investment, expertise, and global connections.
The foundation said the new leadership has a “historic opportunity” to channel this potential and translate the spirit of “Once a Nepali, always a Nepali” into action. It expressed confidence that strong leadership, national unity, and shared commitment could lead Nepal toward stability, prosperity, and greater global recognition.
Congratulating Prime Minister Shah and his party, the foundation stated that the public mandate reflects not only a change in government but also a clear demand for good governance, transparency, and accountability.
Highlighting Nepal’s geopolitical position between India and China, the statement stressed the need for a balanced, independent, and non-aligned foreign policy to safeguard national sovereignty and interests.
The foundation also noted that the message from the younger generation is clear: transparent governance, zero tolerance for corruption, and decent employment opportunities. It urged the government to prioritize these expectations with result-oriented actions.
Established to connect Nepalis who believe in human rights, freedom of speech, and democratic values, the foundation operates global networks of youth, women, media professionals, experts, and athletes, with 38 chapters across the United States and other countries.
