Labour Culture Party Chair Harka Raj Sampang said he will support the government while remaining in opposition, adding that political leaders should aim for the highest office and presenting himself as a future prime minister.

Harka Raj Sampang, chairperson of the Labour Culture Party, has said that he is willing to support the government.
Speaking to journalists at the Parliament building in Singha Durbar, where he had arrived for the oath-taking ceremony, Sampang stated that he would both question the government from the opposition and extend support when necessary.
He said, “We will question the government from the opposition. We will also support it. We will assist the government in the work it needs to do, even while staying in the opposition. We are in favor of supporting the country.”
He also mentioned that anyone involved in politics should aim for the highest position, and therefore he has presented himself as a future prime minister.
He said, “A person in politics aims to reach the highest position, and should do so. This should not be taken otherwise. As the party chair, others have also said this, and I have said the same. There is nothing unusual about it. We should respect and accept whatever decision the people make.”
