A total of 274 newly elected members of the House of Representatives took the oath of office and secrecy today.
Senior-most member Arjun Narsingh KC administered the oath to the newly elected lawmakers on Thursday.
The members arrived at the Parliament building in Singha Durbar in various traditional attires to take the oath.
According to Section 75 of the House of Representatives Member Election Act, 2017, members are required to take the oath before the presiding authority of the House before participating in any meeting of the House or its committees.
