Former President Bhandari wraps up successful China visit

The recent 10-day visit to China by former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has helped refresh and strengthen Nepal–China relations, according to the delegation members.

Speaking to the media at Tribhuvan International Airport, Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Minister as well as CPN-UML leader Damodar Bhandari said the visit was successful and fruitful. He added that the Chinese government welcomed former President Bhandari with special hospitality.

During the visit, the Nepali delegation held meetings with top Chinese leaders, including the Vice President of China, Vice Chair of the National People's Congress, head of the Communist Party’s foreign department, and the Governor of Gansu Province.

“These high-level meetings have further strengthened the relationship between Nepal and China,” said Minister Bhandari. “The visit has helped revive our historic ties, shared understandings, and past agreements.”

Senior UML leaders were also part of the delegation. The visit was aimed at promoting goodwill and friendship between the two countries.
