Dirgha Bahadur Rawal Appointed Head of NRB’s Supervision Department

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has appointed Dirgha Bahadur Rawal as the new head of its Bank Supervision Department, replacing Ramu Paudel. This change happened shortly after Rawal was promoted from director.

Rawal has held several important roles at the central bank. He previously led the Financial Information Unit, worked in the Regulation Department, and most recently served in the Currency Management Department.

As part of this reshuffle, Ramu Paudel has now been moved to the Currency Management Department. This is one of the most significant staff changes since Dr. Bishwanath Paudel became the governor. In previous reshuffles, he had kept the heads of major departments the same.

Earlier, when Rawal was still a director, the central bank also moved Pradeep Raj Paudel—who was then leading the Currency Management Department—to the Information Technology Department.
