Ballot papers and 11 types of essential election materials for the upcoming House of Representatives election on Falgun 21 have been airlifted to Mugu by the Nepali Army. The Election Commission of Nepal delivered 79,000 ballot papers along with other required supplies, as preparations intensify across the district’s 69 polling centers.

Ballot papers and other election materials required for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21 have arrived in Mugu on Sunday morning via a helicopter of the Nepali Army.
According to the District Election Office, the Election Commission of Nepal transported the materials from Surkhet by a Nepali Army helicopter. A total of 40,000 proportional representation ballot papers and 39,000 first-past-the-post ballot papers were delivered, along with 11 types of election materials including needles, thread, swastika stamps, seals, stamp pads, and other necessary items.
Mugu, which has a single electoral constituency, has 36,031 registered voters. Across the district, there are 67 polling stations and 69 polling centers.
After all required materials arrived in the district on Sunday, training for polling officers and assistant polling officers will be conducted on the 14th. From the 15th, the materials will be packaged and dispatched to polling centers based on geographical considerations. Starting from the 17th, teams led by polling officers will head toward their respective polling locations, said Kamal Prasad Upadhyaya, Chief of the District Election Office.
To ensure the successful conduct of the election, 70 polling officers, 70 assistant polling officers, 210 assistant staff members, 179 volunteers, and 70 support staff, totaling 599 personnel, will be mobilized. For security, more than 1,500 personnel from the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, election police, and the Nepali Army will be deployed.
