The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology is very concerned about what happened to Nepali student Prakriti Lamsal at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Odisha, India, and how Nepali students were treated after that.

In a statement, the ministry said it was unfair for the university to treat students badly, especially when they had paid their fees as required. This goes against the global rule that students should be allowed to study once they have paid their fees.

As soon as the ministry heard about the incident through news and official sources, they asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take action and talk to Indian officials to solve the problem.

The ministry also said that this situation has caused stress for students and parents and may make thousands of Nepali students in India feel scared and uncertain. So, they have asked the Indian government to make sure students can continue their studies without any trouble.

To help students facing similar problems in foreign universities, the ministry has also set up a special help desk.

Lastly, the ministry requested students and parents to stay calm while they work on solving the issue.
