The Nepali Congress has urged that discussions on the Pathibhara cable car project to be finalized so that construction can move forward.
A meeting was held yesterday at Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha. Leaders said the cable car should be built without harming religious beliefs. Party spokesperson Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat said the project will help devotees reach the temple more easily.
The meeting also discussed the Free Student Union (FSU) elections. The party emphasized the need for fair and peaceful elections and said all political parties should work together to prevent unnecessary conflicts.
Leaders also talked about constitutional amendments. The government has formed a task force for this, and Nepali Congress will decide its position on necessary changes.
