Cloudy Skies with Rain, Thunder, and Light Snow in Parts of Nepal

Nepal is currently seeing a mix of weather effects due to westerly and local winds, along with some moisture coming from the Arabian Sea.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather is partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly areas, while other regions are mostly clear or slightly cloudy. A little rain has been reported in a few places in the Himalayan region.

This afternoon, hilly areas — including in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces — will be partly to mostly cloudy. Other parts of the country will have partly cloudy skies.

There is a chance of light to moderate rain with lightning in many hilly areas, especially in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in a few other places. Light snowfall with rain might also occur in one or two areas of the Himalayas.

Some areas in Madhesh and Lumbini provinces may also see rain with strong winds.

Tonight, the hilly areas will stay partly cloudy, while most other regions will be mostly clear.

There is a chance of light rain with lightning in a few hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces. One or two mountainous places may also get light snowfall with rain.
