Cloudy Skies, Rain and Windstorms Expected Across Nepal

Nepal is currently experiencing weather changes due to the combined effects of westerly winds, local winds and moisture-filled winds coming from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, most areas across the country have partly to mostly cloudy skies.

Some places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces have seen light to moderate rain, along with thunder and lightning.

Similar weather is expected to continue this afternoon. Light to moderate rain with lightning is likely in several hilly areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

Other areas may also get some rainfall. Light snowfall is possible in a few high hill and mountain regions.

There is also a chance of windstorms in some parts of the Terai, especially in Madhes and Koshi provinces.
