The scheduled question-and-answer session with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in the Parliament will not take place today (May 20).
According to CPN-UML Chief Whip Mahesh Bartuala, the session has been postponed because the Prime Minister is unwell.
The Parliament Secretariat had planned a session today for MPs to ask questions to the Prime Minister. However, the Prime Minister’s Office informed that he won't be able to attend due to health reasons.
On Monday, during a program in Kathmandu, PM Oli had mentioned that he was feeling unwell and gave only a short speech. He is reportedly suffering from common cold and cough.
Today’s session was scheduled as part of the monthly Q&A between the Prime Minister and Members of Parliament, as per Chapter 9 of the House of Representatives Rules, 2022. The Parliament meeting had been called for 11 am today.
