National Assembly Vice-chairperson Bimala Ghimire left for China on Monday with a team of eight people from the parliament.
During her six-day official visit, she will take part in various events in Xi’an, located in China’s Shaanxi province.
The delegation will attend the Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Development Forum organized by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), as well as the ninth Silk Road International Expo, among other programs.
Vice-chairperson Ghimire is expected to give speeches at both the main events.
The team also includes Members of the House of Representatives Dinesh Kumar Yadav and Urmila Majhi, National Assembly Members Beduram Bhusal and Sumitra BC, and other officials from the Federal Parliament.
The delegation will return to Nepal on May 24.
