Cloudy Hills, Clear Terai; Light Rain and Snow Likely in Mountains

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology says the country is currently affected by both western and local winds.

Right now, the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are mostly cloudy. Other hilly areas have partly cloudy skies, while the Terai is mostly clear.

This afternoon, clouds are likely to increase in the mountainous regions. There is a chance of light rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in a few places in Koshi and Gandaki’s mountain areas, and in one or two places in other mountain regions.
