The third edition of the Buddhist International Travel Mart will be held on May 24 and 25 to help promote tourism in Nepal. 


The opening ceremony, international conference and exhibition will take place in Kathmandu on May 24 and 25. After that, on May 26, there will be a business-to-business (B2B) session, a farm visit, a networking dinner and the closing ceremony in Lumbini, according to the organizer, Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA).


More than 150 international buyers and more than 60 sellers from Nepal and abroad who are interested in Buddhist tourism are expected to take part.

In addition, over 1,100 visitors from countries with strong Buddhist traditions like India, China, Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia and Sri Lanka will attend the event.

NATTA believes this event will be a great chance to promote Nepal’s spiritual tourism and showcase its important Buddhist heritage sites.
