Bridge Collapse Disrupts Traffic On East-West Highway In Nawalparasi

Vehicular movement along the East-West Highway in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta Purva) came to a halt this evening after a bridge over the Binayi River collapsed at around 5:00 PM. 

The collapse occurred in Dumkibas, within Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality. Arun Pokharel, Chief District Officer of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta Purva), confirmed that the central portion of the bridge gave way, completely obstructing traffic. 

Authorities have begun constructing a diversion, as there are no immediate plans to repair the bridge and resume normal traffic flow.
