An arrest warrant has been issued against journalist Dil Bhusan Pathak under the Electronic Transactions Act for alleged cybercrime, according to police.

The warrant was issued after a complaint was filed against him at the Central Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police. Following the complaint, the Bureau requested permission from the Kathmandu District Court, which then issued the arrest warrant.

About three weeks ago, Pathak had uploaded a video on his YouTube channel about the buying and selling of shares of Hilton Hotel in Kathmandu.

In the video, Pathak talked about Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba’s son, Jaiveer Deuba. He claimed that Jaiveer was involved in real estate businesses in Dubai, Australia, and Canada, and also linked him to the five-star Hilton Hotel in Kathmandu, which is mainly funded by Shankar Group.

Pathak also raised questions about Jaiveer’s property. It is believed that the arrest warrant is related to this video.
